Translink Fare Increase

I've looked all over the Translink site and I can't find the information that I'm looking for.

I bought a book of FareSaver Tickets a month before the fares were increased.  I know in Ottawa if the bus fare and ticket fares go up you can continue to use your "old" bus tickets until they are gone...meaning if you have like 2 sheets of bus tickets at $0.90 you can continue to use them until they are gone even if the ticket price is $0.95.

So my question is can I still use the FareSaver tickets or am I, SOL? Also can I just pay the extra $0.25 when I board the bus?

  you can pay the quarter on the bus...but i support people who take Handydart and we have been told that holders of old tickets are being given one months grace to use up the old ones, no extra charge.

  I read that you can use up your FareSavers without having to pay the increase, unless you want to add on to your fare to increase your zones. If, say, you have a FareSaver for one zone and you want to top up to go three zones, you'll have to top up to the new fare for three zones.

  I remember when they raised it like 5 years ago (or whenever)...they still let us use our old tix without paying any extra.
  I *think* you should be fine, but maybe carry a quarter with you if you can? (I figure most bus drivers would be nice enough to let you by anyway)

    i used a bunch of faresavers today and none of the drivers said anything about having to pay the difference in cash.
